Registration is closed

We have a trip coming up in November.  We need to goto a small hospital in Chimaltenango, Guatemala.  It is about an hour outside of Guatemala City.  Lots of medical equipment that already bee send down in containers.  Our job will be to unpack it, assemble it, set it up, check it out, and find the correct placement in the neonatal and ICU units for it. I am positive that there will also be a lot of repairs, just because there always is a bunch of broken stuff.

We will take everything we can think of to perform the tests and installations.  We will also take as much general repair materials as we can carry or check as baggage.

We may need a third person, but are not sure yet.

When:  Arrive Guatemala City Sunday, November 15, 2015.

Work at hospital Monday thru Friday Nov 16-20.

Return to the USA on Saturday, November 21.

Cost:  All travel expenses paid by Heineman Foundation of Carolina's Healthcare System (Air, Land travel, hotel, meals)

Your cost:  Souvenirs, personal items...

Hotel: We probably will stay in Antigua, Guatemala, about 1 hour from Chimaltenango.  It is a beautiful town.  Great hotels, fine restaurants, safe, picturesque.

Language skills:  This person MUST speak Spanish very well.  Since I do not, it is imperative that we have a Biomed that can communicate with the hospital staff regarding equipment issues.

If we decide we need a third person, that person will not be required to speak Spanish.

Please contact me if these dates and arrangements work out for you.
